Fit for Life, Beacon Hospital, Dublin
What: Fit for Life is a once-weekly, six-week multi-disciplinary cancer rehabilitation programme for people at any stage of cancer care. Each 1.5 hour session consists of 1 hour of exercise, followed by 30 minutes of group education from healthcare professionals. In this in-person group programme, exercise is supervised by specialist cancer rehabilitation physiotherapists who can advise you and adapt exercises to your specific needs.
The programme aims to address common side effects of cancer and is suitable for those experiencing weakness, reduced fitness, fatigue, lymphoedema, breathlessness and poor balance.
