Community Cancer Support Centres

Community Cancer Support Centres and Services are voluntary and charity organisations located in local communities across Ireland. They deliver a range of services which support patients during and after their cancer treatment. 

Some of the core services that are offered by many centres include: 

  • Information and advice about cancer 
  • Psychological or emotional support 
  • Survivorship programmes 

Some Community Cancer Support Centres may also have services from a range of professionals such as psychologists, counsellors, oncology nurses, physiotherapists, complementary therapists. 

The National Cancer Control Programme (NCCP) recognises the essential work that Community Cancer Support Centres in supporting patients through their cancer journey. The NCCP have created the Alliance of Community Cancer Support Centres which is a network of NCCP-approved Community Cancer Support Centres around Ireland.
