Specialist Lymphoedema Clinic, Summerhill

What: A specialist lymphoedema service to address the individual needs of oncology patients. Offers lymphoedema assessment, treatment, education and supported self-care.

This service aims to ensure patients are diagnosed early and promptly referred for suitable treatment. Treatment may involve compression therapy, manual lymph drainage, education and exercise.

Where: Summerhill Primary Care Centre, Summerhill, Co. Meath, A83V252

For who: People living in Meath with lymphoedema or lipoedema. This can be primary lymphoedema or secondary lymphoedema (e.g. after lymph node dissection, surgery, radiotherapy). The clinic also sees people with vascular oedema, chronic oedema and recurrent cellulitis.

Cost: No charge to attend.

How: Referrals accepted from consultants, GPs, acute nursing, physiotherapists and other health and social care professionals. Referral form available by emailing lymphclinic.meath@hse.ie
