Small Steady Steps
What: Weekly cancer rehabilitation class which aims to help people with cancer to get back to Active Health by providing them with a tailor made, person-centred 12-week programme of activity. Classes are led by level 4 Cancer Rehabilitation Exercise Specialists and take place in a rehabilitation gym. Each client receives an individual gym programme, tailored to their needs. Instructors discuss your needs and provide you with a safe and supportive environment in which to get active. The programme also includes regular walks, outdoor activities and post-exercise social tea breaks.
Where: The H.E.A.R.T. Project, The Maureen Sheehan Centre, 106 Albert Street, Belfast, BT12 4HL
For who: Anyone with cancer or after cancer can attend
Cost: No cost
How: Referral from a healthcare professional is needed – speak with GP or cancer specialist nurse.
