Lymphoedema Service, St James’s Hospital  

What : Lymphology Clinic led by an experienced Senior Physiotherapist with specialist training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and lymphoedema management, including skin care, bandaging and exercise. Sessions are 45/60 minutes and are scheduled at a frequency that meets the patients’ needs where possible.   

Where : Outpatient Department, Physiotherapy Department, Hospital 4, St James’s Hospital, Dublin 8   

For who: Patients who have a diagnosis of lymphoedema.  Patients who are symptomatic and showing early signs of lymphoedema.  

Cost: No cost. If patient needs an off-the-shelf compression garment, this will be provided by the hospital. However, if a made-to-measure garment is required this will need to be self-funded unless the patient is a medical-card holder.  

How: Referral required from Oncology or Vascular Consultant.
