We are a group of researchers and clinicians working in cancer care. Our aim is to improve rehabilitation services for people with and after cancer in Ireland.

The PERCS leadership team
Dr Emer Guinan is PERCS Principal Investigator. Emer is an Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine Trinity College and a Chartered Physiotherapist. She has done extensive research in the role of exercise and physical activity in cancer rehabilitation and survivorship.
Dr Claire Donohoe is PERCS Clinical Lead. Dr Donohoe is a consultant gastrointestinal surgeon in St James’s Hospital and works with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver care to patients with oesophageal and gastric cancer. She is involved in and supportive of cancer rehabilitation research and related clinical developments.
Dr Louise Brennan is PERCS Project manager. Louise is a Research Fellow and a Chartered Physiotherapist. Her research focuses on improving cancer rehabilitation services and raising awareness of the importance of rehabilitation during and after cancer. Louise will work closely with participants throughout the PERCS project at assessments and follow-up.
PERCS Trial Management Group
The PERCS team (also known as the 'Trial Management Group') consists of a group of cancer-specialist healthcare professionals, researchers and patient representatives from the following institutions:
